据Nhan Dan报道，2008年11月5日，第五届世界佛教峰会在日本神户圆满结束，会议为期四天。此次峰会的目的是加强世界佛教组织的团结，号召合力消除贫困、保护环境、创和谐世界。来自32个国家的300个代表团参加会议。越南在会中当选为第六届世界佛教峰会主办方。越南国宗委主席Nguyen The Doanh表示将保证第六届世界佛教峰会在2010年成功举办。（编译：隐石）

　　Vietnam to host Buddhist summit in 2010

　　Participants attending the 5th World Buddhist summit in Kobe, Japan , have chosen Hanoi as the venue for the 6th summit in 2010.

　　Addressing the function, Nguyen The Doanh, Director of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs pledged that Vietnam would do whatever it could to ensure the success of the event, with support from and the co-operation of other foreign countries.

　　The four-day summit, which ended on November 5, attracted over 300 delegates from 32 countries.

　　The summit issued a declaration calling for solidarity among the world’s Buddhist organisations, with the aim of boosting their co-operation in poverty eradication, environmental protection and the establishment of a harmonious global community. (VNA)
